Cotton Famine Poems

Cotton Famine Poems is a project comprising settings of poems written in response to the Lancashire Cotton Famine of 1861-65
featured in
the Guardian.

The poems have been published as part of

Poetry of the Lancashire Cotton Famine,an AHRC-funded project by Simon Rennie at the University
of Exeter.

Please note that the language of the poems, which remains uncensored, reflects the mores of the time.
